DAM Foundation Mega Empowerment Programme Empowers 8,000 Residents in Kogi State, Nigeria
The DAM Foundation Mega Empowerment Programme, initiated by Dr. Mustapha Abdullahi, has successfully empowered 8,000 residents in Kogi State since its launch on December 22, 2025. The initiative provided beneficiaries with essential tools such as laptops, solar systems, and artisan equipment, alongside training in ICT and various trades, to promote sustainable livelihoods and economic growth. Inaugurated by Kogi State Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the programme emphasizes public-private collaboration for youth empowerment and includes renewable energy projects like a Solar Energy Institute and Hydrogen Power Plant.

The DAM Foundation Mega Empowerment Programme, led by Dr. Mustapha Abdullahi of the Energy Commission of Nigeria, has empowered 8,000 residents in Kogi State since its launch on December 22, 2025. The initiative, held at Khahal Cinema in Adavi Local Government Area, aims to promote sustainable livelihoods, youth development, and economic growth.
Beneficiaries received laptops, solar systems, grinding machines, sewing machines, and cash grants, with a focus on ICT training and artisan skill acquisition. Participants were trained in various trades and provided with essential tools to enhance employability.
Additional support included solar energy kits and food items for households. Dr. Abdullahi also facilitated renewable energy projects, such as a Solar Energy Institute and a Hydrogen Power Plant in Osara. The programme was inaugurated by Kogi State Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, emphasizing public-private collaboration for youth empowerment and sustainable development.
