Dangote Group Orders 1,000+ CNG Trucks from BAIC FOTON for Nigerian Operations
The Dangote Group has ordered over 1,000 CNG trucks from Chinese automaker BAIC FOTON to enhance logistics in Nigeria. This partnership was formalized during a meeting in Beijing, where both companies emphasized their commitment to sustainability and efficient transport solutions.

Dangote Group has finalized an order for over 1,000 CNG-powered trucks from BAIC FOTON to enhance logistics across Nigeria. The deal, arranged by Kewalram Autos, will support Dangote Cement's distribution and broader industrial activities in Sub-Saharan Africa.
The acquisition includes various CNG-powered tractors and semi-trailers designed for improved efficiency and lower emissions. This agreement was established at a high-level meeting in Beijing, attended by senior executives from both companies.
Kewalram Autos will provide lifecycle support and local assembly infrastructure. Analysts view this transaction as indicative of growing confidence in alternative-fuel technology in Nigeria's transport sector.
