In Ukraine's Mykolaiv Oblast, the Danish Refugee Council, funded by Denmark's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is addressing critical infrastructure challenges caused by war. A solar power station installed at the Novosvitlivskyi Psychoneurological Residential Care Facility enhances energy independence and allows uninterrupted care for residents.
This facility is expected to save over one million hryvnias annually on electricity costs and reduce CO₂ emissions by over 72 tonnes per year. The project, part of broader efforts in Sumy, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia, also includes equipping medical facilities and a water utility with hybrid energy systems.
