Daon Launches Quantum Identity Architecture for Enhanced Digital Credential Security
Daon has introduced a new Quantum Identity architecture to enhance digital identity verification as quantum computing evolves. This architecture is essential for securing identity evidence against future threats posed by quantum computing capabilities, especially in light of the potential vulnerabilities of existing cryptographic protections.

Daon's new Quantum Identity architecture is designed to evaluate the authenticity of identity evidence in digital identity systems, complementing post-quantum cryptography (PQC). With five U.S. patents, this architecture addresses the limitations of cryptographic measures by ensuring that biometric and identity evidence is genuine before trust decisions are made.
As quantum computing approaches, the potential for malicious actors to exploit vulnerabilities in current cryptographic systems raises concerns for the integrity of long-valid documents like passports and national IDs. Daon aims to implement its technology across regulated sectors, including financial services and healthcare, to enhance security in high-value transactions.
