Data Breach at Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant Raises Security Concerns
Ransomware World Leaks has published sensitive data related to India's Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant, including plans and supplier information. This incident highlights significant cybersecurity vulnerabilities in India’s nuclear sector amidst rising cyber threats.

A data breach involving the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant has exposed nearly 19,000 files online since June 11, 2023. The breach affects Reliance Infrastructure, which announced a partial data violation linked to their servers hosted by Yotta, prompting an investigation by CERT-In.
The Nuclear Power Corporation of India is in communication with Reliance regarding the incident, which could allow malicious actors to identify vulnerabilities within the facility. The breach follows a trend of increasing cyber incidents in India, where 73% of organizations are unaware of prior attacks, raising concerns about national security and preparedness in the sector.
