Death of Colonel Manou CISSÉ, Key Figure in Guinean Intelligence Services

Colonel Manou CISSÉ died on February 6, 2026, from a heart attack, leaving behind five children. She was instrumental in countering the 1996 coup, aiding in the restoration of constitutional order and supporting General Lansana CONTE.
In 2001, she gained recognition during the battle of Guendeh against rebel groups, symbolizing her courage and command. CISSÉ also played a key role in reorganizing the Guinean army's counter-offensive and founded the UNIMO militia to enhance local defense against rebel threats. Her passing is a significant loss for the state, remembered for her exemplary service.
