DEFA to Tender for Completion of LNG Terminal Project in Vasiliko
The Cyprus Natural Gas Company (DEFA) is preparing to issue a tender for the completion of the liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal project in Vasiliko. DEFA requested funding for risk analysis as part of the contractor selection process. The Energy Committee of the Cypriot Parliament discussed project delays and the role of consultants. DEFA Chairman Yorgos Aşikalis announced that Technip Energies has been granted an additional six months to finalize comprehensive project work, after which tender procedures for project completion will commence.

The Cyprus Natural Gas Company (DEFA) has decided to issue a tender to select a contractor for completing the LNG terminal project in Vasiliko. DEFA requested funding for risk analysis related to this process.
The Energy Committee of the Cypriot Parliament reviewed the issue, questioning delays and the consultants' involvement. DEFA Chairman Yorgos Aşikalis stated that Technip Energies has been given an additional six months to complete the necessary project work. Following this period, DEFA will initiate the tender process for the project's completion.
