DEFENSE
A survey by Get Started reveals that 90% of German DefTech startups rate Germany's defense capability as low or very low, with issues such as slow procurement processes and inadequate cooperation with the Bundeswehr cited as major challenges. Despite this, 49% of startups would choose to found their businesses in Germany, an increase of 10 percentage points from the previous year, while interest in the USA has dropped to 8%. The survey, conducted ahead of the Munich Security Conference, included 37 founders and indicated a growing recognition of the need for innovative solutions that incorporate data and AI into defense strategies.
