Delay in Piped Natural Gas Supply for 6,500 Homes Along Dwarka Expressway Due to Pending Permissions
Over 6,500 flats in sectors 102 and 102A along the Dwarka Expressway have awaited piped natural gas (PNG) connections for two years. The project is stalled due to pending right of way (RoW) permissions from GMDA, forcing residents to rely on LPG cylinders. Various housing societies have completed internal pipeline installations but cannot access gas supply without the main pipeline. Residents and RWAs are urging GMDA to expedite the permission process to enable PNG supply.

Residents of over 6,500 flats along the Dwarka Expressway have been waiting for piped natural gas (PNG) connections for nearly two years. The project is delayed due to right of way (RoW) permissions from GMDA, affecting multiple housing societies.
Although internal pipelines are installed, Haryana City Gas Ltd (HCGL) cannot lay the main gas pipeline without the necessary permissions. Residents are currently using LPG cylinders, which they find inconvenient and unsafe. RWAs are requesting GMDA to expedite the approval process, while HCGL has complied with all requirements but has faced repeated submission issues with the permission applications.
