Delgaz Grid Allocates 282 Million Euros for Energy Infrastructure in 2026
Delgaz Grid plans to invest 1.42 billion lei (282 million euros) in energy distribution networks in 2026, a 17% increase from 2025. The investments target modernizing natural gas pipelines, expanding the distribution network, and enhancing digital infrastructure, essential for improving service reliability and supporting renewable energy integration.

In 2026, Delgaz Grid will invest 1.42 billion lei (282 million euros) in energy distribution, marking a 17% increase from 2025. Planned expenditures include over 544 million lei (108 million euros) for natural gas infrastructure, focusing on modernizing 627 km of pipelines and 15 regulation-measuring stations.
The electricity sector will receive 877 million lei (174 million euros), aimed at automating systems and enhancing SMART metering. Delgaz Grid is engaged in 15 ongoing projects financed by European funds, totaling 436 million euros.
A significant project includes supplying electricity to the future Regional Emergency Hospital in Iași, valued at 145 million lei (29 million euros). The Carmen project, a collaboration with Transelectrica and ESO Bulgaria, is anticipated to secure funding of 210 million euros.
By 2026, the company aims to install approximately 120,000 SMART meters, targeting 85% coverage by 2030. These efforts are crucial for improving service reliability and facilitating the integration of renewable energy sources.
