Denmark Signs 7-Year Ammunition Contract with Rheinmetall for Tanks and Artillery
Denmark has signed a seven-year ammunition supply contract with Rheinmetall to bolster its military capabilities amid rising demands for high-intensity warfare. The agreement includes significant quantities of 30 mm, 35 mm, and 155 mm ammunition, as well as over 1,000 rounds of 120 mm kinetic-energy ammunition for Leopard 2A7 tanks, ensuring enhanced combat readiness and sustainability. Rheinmetall's expanded production capacity across Europe will support a reliable supply chain for Denmark's military operations.

Denmark has secured a seven-year ammunition supply agreement with Rheinmetall, aiming to enhance its military capabilities amid increasing demands for high-intensity warfare. The contract includes substantial quantities of 30 mm x 173 and 35 mm x 228 cartridges, valued in the low three-digit million euro range, supporting Denmark's mobile air-defense systems and infantry fighting vehicle capabilities.
Additionally, over 1,000 rounds of 120 mm kinetic-energy ammunition will be supplied to reinforce Denmark's Leopard 2A7 tanks. The agreement also incorporates 155 mm artillery ammunition, which is crucial for maintaining operational tempo with the ATMOS truck-mounted howitzer. Rheinmetall's expanded production capacity across Europe ensures a reliable supply chain for Denmark, enhancing its combat readiness and sustainability in military operations.
