Deutsche Infineum and RheinEnergie to Build 18 MW PV Installation in Cologne, Germany
Deutsche Infineum and RheinEnergie have contracted to build an 18 MW photovoltaic installation in Cologne, Germany, projected to produce 18 million kWh annually. The project will utilize 25,300 solar modules over 12 hectares and is set for commissioning in 2027. It aims to significantly reduce CO₂ emissions and support local decarbonization efforts.

Deutsche Infineum and RheinEnergie are developing an 18 MW ground-mounted photovoltaic installation at Infineum's Cologne site, projected to generate 18 million kWh annually. The installation will feature approximately 25,300 solar modules on 12 hectares and is scheduled for commissioning in 2027.
This project aims to provide surplus electricity to several thousand households, contributing to CO₂ emissions reduction at Infineum's production site. Both companies view this project as a strategic advancement in their sustainability and competitiveness goals.
