Developer Plans Redevelopment of Key Warrnambool CBD Site
A developer has acquired a significant block on Lava Street in Warrnambool with plans for transformation. This off-market purchase follows the demolition of the former Salvation Army property, which was sold for over $2 million in 2023.

A prominent block on Lava Street in Warrnambool has been purchased by a new developer, with a forthcoming project aimed at revitalizing the area. The site, previously home to the Salvation Army church, was sold for more than $2 million in 2023 before being demolished in mid-2024 following a fire incident.
In March 2026, a planning application was submitted to the Warrnambool City Council to remove an existing easement, indicating progress on future developments. The developer has not disclosed specific plans but is expected to enhance the local economy through this investment.
