DEWA Centre Advances Dubai's Clean Energy Goals through Education and Innovation Initiatives
The DEWA Sustainability and Innovation Centre is pivotal in promoting Dubai's Clean Energy Strategy 2050, aiming for 100% clean energy production by mid-century. Through educational programs, including the CleanTech Alliance and various training initiatives, the centre has engaged over 2,500 participants and graduated 117 Emirati youths from its CleanTech Youth Programme. It also features interactive exhibits and hosts events that showcase innovations in clean energy.

DEWA's Sustainability and Innovation Centre is crucial for advancing the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and the Dubai Net Zero Carbon Emissions Strategy 2050, aiming for 100% clean energy production by mid-century. The centre engages various stakeholders through educational and innovation-focused programmes, including the newly launched CleanTech Alliance, which aids companies in the energy transition.
In 2025, it introduced courses on Building Integrated Photovoltaics and Solar Architecture, developed with international partners. Training initiatives include a Sustainability Manager Certification and Greenhouse Gas Accountant training.
The centre has graduated 117 Emirati youths from the CleanTech Youth Programme and organized 50 symposiums under the CleanTech Connect programme, attracting over 2,500 participants. Events like the CleanTech Innovators Exhibition and Hackathon showcase clean energy innovations and engage international participants. The centre features over 35 interactive exhibits on clean energy technologies and smart solutions.
