Didar A Husain Re-elected Chairman of IUB Board of Trustees for 2026-27 Term
Didar A Husain has been re-elected as Chairman of the Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) Board of Trustees for a two-year term covering 2026-27. Husain, a founding trustee, previously served as Chairman during 2024-25.
He joined the Bangladesh Army during the War of Liberation and was commissioned on October 9, 1971. The Education, Science, Technology and Cultural Development Trust announced the election and formation of the Board of Trustees for the 2026-27 term on December 23, 2025.
Following his military service, Husain entered the textile industry and held the position of vice-president of the Bangladesh Textile Mills Association from 2005 to 2006. He is also a member of the National Council of the Diabetic Association of Bangladesh.
