Diehl Defence Launches Garmr Counter-Drone System with 70 km Range and AI Capabilities
Diehl Defence has introduced the Garmr, an AI-supported mobile counter-UAV system, previously known as Kinetic Defence Vehicle (KDV). The Garmr integrates machine guns with interceptor drones, providing air defense over 70 km. Designed for both civilian and military use, it protects critical infrastructure and operates in high-intensity combat. The system features two variants, Garmr SRS and MRS, and employs advanced AI for detection and engagement of aerial threats. Delivery is scheduled six months post-order, with operational maturity expected by late 2026.

The vehicle, based on Enok AB, delivers operational mobility and is set for deployment in 2026, following extensive testing and integration.
