Diehl Defence's Ziesel UGV Completes Successful Spike LR Missile Test
Diehl Defence's Ziesel UGV has successfully test-fired Spike LR missiles, validating its operational capabilities. This achievement follows its introduction at Enforce Tac 2025 and indicates potential advancements in unmanned combat systems.

The Ziesel uncrewed ground vehicle (UGV) successfully launched 17 Spike LR guided missiles during a five-day test, confirming its structural integrity under live-fire conditions. This milestone comes three months after its debut at Enforce Tac 2025 in Nürnberg.
The trials involved Diehl Defence, Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, and EuroSpike GmbH. Future demonstrations and developments are planned following these successful tests. The Ziesel platform features upgrades over previous models, can carry over 500 kg, and has an operational speed of 12 mph.
It includes the PLATON autonomy kit for obstacle navigation, allowing it to function without active sensors. The UGV is currently being evaluated by armed forces in Germany and Ukraine.
