Dien Bien Province to Launch UAV Pilot for Low-Altitude Economy Development
Dien Bien Province is set to pilot a project focused on UAV applications in a low-altitude economy, approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology. This initiative aims to enhance connectivity and efficiency in cargo transport amid challenging geographical conditions.

Dien Bien Province has been selected to pilot a UAV-focused project under the low-altitude economy initiative, as confirmed in a meeting on April 3 with the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of National Defense. The project aims to create practical models for UAV integration into economic activities, especially cargo transport, while ensuring compliance with national defense and airspace management.
Vietnam Post Corporation has proposed a UAV cargo transport model, addressing the province's infrastructure challenges by potentially integrating UAVs with existing road transport systems. This project may serve as a reference for other regions, enhancing logistics and economic efficiency in difficult terrains.
