On World Environment Day 2026, DLSA Bandipora initiated plantation drives at the New Court Complex, Kaloosa, and Chittarnar in partnership with the Forest Department. Judicial officials, including Jeema Bashir and Iqbal Ahmad Aakhoon, led the sapling planting efforts, emphasizing environmental stewardship and community responsibility.
Active participation from the Legal Aid Defense Counsel (LADC) System and Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs) reinforced their commitment to addressing climate change challenges. The events concluded with a pledge to support ongoing environmental protection initiatives, indicating a strategic focus on sustainable development.
