DEFENSE

The Defense Microelectronics Activity (DMEA) has awarded 10 companies positions on the Advanced Technology Support Program V (ATSP V), a potential 10-year, $25.36 billion contract for engineering development support services. The contract features a five-year base ordering period with two optional periods of three and two years.

DMEA, based in McClellan, California, will allocate $65,000 in fiscal 2026 funds, with $5,000 assigned per task order at the time of award. In March 2025, DMEA released a request for proposals for ATSP V, initially estimated at $1 billion, to support advanced technologies for the Department of War and other federal agencies.

The program aims to enhance the microelectronics supply chain and provides comprehensive engineering support, addressing capability gaps and electronics obsolescence. The predecessor program, ATSP IV, was awarded in 2016 and expanded to a total potential value of about $17.47 billion.
