DNV Proposes Acquisition of Automa Power & Utilities to Enhance Digital Energy Solutions

DNV has proposed the acquisition of Brazilian company Automa Power & Utilities, which specializes in monitoring and control solutions for renewable energy systems. Automa supports over 60 GW of capacity and aims to strengthen DNV's digital capabilities for utilities and independent power producers.

The integration will enhance operational technologies, analytics, and energy system modeling, creating a multidisciplinary team of approximately 1,200 energy experts at DNV. This move aligns with the increasing importance of digitalization in the energy transition, allowing for improved performance and resilience in complex power systems. The transaction is pending regulatory approval from Brazil's Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE).
