Doosan Enerbility Selects Andritz for 500MW Yeongdong Pumped Storage Plant in South Korea
Doosan Enerbility has selected Andritz to provide pump turbine units for the 500MW Yeongdong pumped storage power plant in South Korea, aimed at supporting national renewable energy goals and enhancing grid stability. The project, a collaboration with Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power, includes the design and installation of two pump turbine units and associated systems, with an expected completion date in 2030. Andritz has a strong track record in South Korea, having previously delivered or rehabilitated around 40 units totaling over 1GW.

Doosan Enerbility has chosen Andritz to supply pump turbine units for the 500MW Yeongdong pumped storage power plant in Chungcheong Province, South Korea. This project aims to support national renewable energy goals and enhance grid stability.
Andritz has previously delivered or rehabilitated approximately 40 units totaling over 1GW in South Korea. The scope of Andritz's work includes designing two pump turbine units, motor-generators, auxiliaries, and digital control systems, along with installation supervision and commissioning. The Yeongdong project is a collaboration between Doosan Enerbility and Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power, with an expected completion date in 2030.
