Douglas Ward has been promoted to vice president and director of digital systems solutions at American Systems. His responsibilities include managing capabilities across submarine systems, unmanned underwater vehicles, acoustics, cyber, software development, and analytics, with operations at multiple sites including Groton, CT; Newport, RI; Carderock, MD; and Keyport, WA.
Concurrently, American Systems has obtained a $172.7 million follow-on contract for the Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division and a $26.7 million contract from the Defense Health Agency. These developments may enhance the company's market position and operational breadth.
