Doyon Oil Field Services Requests Permit for Gravel Pad Installation in Alaska
Doyon Oil Field Services has applied to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for a permit to construct a gravel pad on Tract 8 in Alaska, aimed at supporting operations on their North Slope leases. The project involves placing 77,900 cubic yards of gravel over 6.9 acres and building two access lanes, with completion expected by May 2026.

Doyon Oil Field Services seeks a permit from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to install a gravel pad on approximately 6.9 acres of Alaska State Land Survey 76-227 Plat 77-3 Tract 8. The project will involve placing 77,900 cubic yards of gravel to construct a pad 5-7 feet deep and creating two access lanes from the Spine Road, each requiring 575 cubic yards of gravel.
All work is to be completed by May 2026. The project site is near Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, and is designed to utilize existing road infrastructure, minimizing environmental impact. A certification from the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation is needed before work can proceed.
