DRDO Unveils Advanced Armoured Platforms for Indian Army
The DRDO has launched new Advanced Armoured Platforms (Tracked and Wheeled) featuring a 30 mm crewless turret and STANAG level 4/5 protection. Developed in collaboration with TATA Advanced Systems and Bharat Forge, these platforms aim to enhance India's defense capabilities and achieve 90% indigenous content by production start.

DRDO has introduced Advanced Armoured Platforms (Tracked and Wheeled) at their facility in Ahilyanagar, Maharashtra, integrating a 30 mm crewless turret. These platforms include advanced features for mobility, firepower, and protection, achieving STANAG level 4 and 5 specifications.
The platforms have a high power-to-weight ratio and amphibious capabilities, enhancing operational flexibility. They are produced in partnership with TATA Advanced Systems Limited and Bharat Forge Limited, with 65% indigenous content expected to rise to 90%. The initiative supports the Indian Army's evolving operational requirements and is part of a broader strategy for self-reliance in defense technologies.
