Drone Strike Targets Ruwais Industrial Complex Hosting Adnoc and Borouge Facilities

NATURAL GAS

The Ruwais industrial complex, which includes a refinery with a capacity of 922,000 barrels per day and Borouge's main petrochemical production facility, has experienced drone strikes. Adnoc is currently in the advanced stages of an engineering, procurement, and construction project for a liquefied natural gas facility at Ruwais.

This facility will produce about 9.6 million tonnes per year from two processing trains of 4.8 million tonnes each. Upon commissioning expected in 2028, Adnoc's LNG production capacity will increase to approximately 15 million tonnes per year.
