DSCC Implements Urban Management Initiatives in Dhaka South
Dhaka South City Corporation is undertaking multiple initiatives to improve urban management and civic services. The focus on sustainable practices and infrastructure aims to enhance the quality of life in the area.

The Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has initiated urban management improvements under Administrator Md Abdus Salam's leadership since February 25. Key initiatives include tree planting in 20 parks and 13 playgrounds, along with a nursery development plan.
Ahead of the monsoon, the DSCC is addressing waterlogging by cleaning the Segunbagicha box culvert and identifying 33 hotspots for drainage enhancements. A landfill project at Matuail is set to produce around 15,000 tonnes of methane for electricity generation.
Additional measures include mosquito control efforts and a reduction in graveyard registration fees. The DSCC expects these actions to significantly enhance civic services in the near future.
