The Town of Duck has completed a shoreline stabilization project at Duck Town Park, initiated in 2017. The project includes 10 vertical vinyl sills to dissipate wave energy and facilitate natural water and sediment movement, aimed at preserving the shoreline and habitat. The project faced multiple design iterations and permitting challenges, particularly concerning subaquatic vegetation.
