Tanger Med Port handled 11,106,164 TEUs in 2025, marking an 8.4% increase, and total cargo reached 161 million tons. It is classified as Africa's most active port and the sixth globally according to the June 2026 Container Port Performance Index by the World Bank and S&P Global Market Intelligence.
