Dynetics Secures $617 Million Army Contract for Weapon Systems
Dynetics, a subsidiary of Leidos Holdings, has been awarded a $617.2 million contract to deliver weapon systems to the U.S. Army. This contract is significant for the advancement of defense capabilities against UAVs and cruise missile threats.

Dynetics will produce Indirect Fire Protection Capability Increment Two systems under a cost-plus-fixed-fee, firm-fixed-price contract. Deliverables include launcher systems, retrofit prototype launchers, soldier trainers, and contractor logistics services.
The contract's estimated completion date is November 30, 2029, with funding and work locations specified per order. Notably, no bids were received during solicitation via the internet. The Army Contracting Command at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, oversees this contract. This contract may enhance military readiness in countering aerial threats, potentially influencing future defense procurement strategies.
