E N Suiter & Sons' Flat Development Proposal Rejected Again by West Norfolk Council
E N Suiter & Sons has faced a fourth rejection of its plans to build four flats at 5 Wellesley Street, Lynn. The local council cited concerns over design quality, overshadowing neighbors, and flood risks. Previous proposals for six houses in 2019 and five homes in 2024 were also denied. Local residents objected, stating the development would disrupt their properties and alter the character of the area.

E N Suiter & Sons' proposal to construct four two-bedroom flats at 5 Wellesley Street, Lynn, has been rejected for the fourth time by West Norfolk Council. The council's planning officers expressed concerns that the development would not demonstrate good design, be overbearing for neighbors, and pose a flood risk.
The site has previously seen proposals for six houses in 2019 and five homes in 2024, both of which were also rejected. Local residents raised objections regarding the impact on their gardens and the nearby Salvation Army Hall. The authority's conservation officer criticized the design quality as inadequate and failing to enhance the area’s historic character.
