Eastern Greene and Washington Schools Join ROI Ready Schools Initiative for 2026-27
Eastern Greene Schools and Washington Community Schools have been selected for the ROI Ready Schools initiative, receiving development grants for the 2026-27 academic year. This initiative aims to align educational programs with workforce demands in the Indiana Uplands region, impacting over 35,000 students.

Eastern Greene Schools and Washington Community Schools will participate in the ROI Ready Schools initiative during the 2026-27 school year, receiving development grants. The program focuses on realigning PK-12 curricula to meet local workforce needs, specifically in the Indiana Uplands.
Once districts complete the initial phases, they can apply for implementation funding to activate strategic plans. The initiative aims to create pathways connecting education to career opportunities in sectors like national security and defense, which currently has 8,300 jobs and anticipates the need for 216 new roles annually. This collaboration seeks to enhance student preparedness for meaningful careers.
