ECC Approves Grants for Development and Security Projects in Pakistan
The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) sanctioned over Rs41 billion for various development, security, and infrastructure projects. This funding aims to support initiatives ranging from the Sustainable Development Goals to urban infrastructure in major cities.

The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) has approved funding exceeding Rs41 billion for development and security projects. Key allocations include Rs7.0263 billion for the Sustainable Development Goals Achievement Programme and Rs10.15 billion for the Pakistan Navy's Hangor Project.
Security measures during the Islamabad Peace Talks received Rs692.9 million, while Rs241 million was allocated for blast victims at Imam Bargah Khadijah-tul-Kubra. Additional funds include Rs1.88 billion for the expansion of the Islamabad Safe City project, Rs800 million for Pakistan Coast Guard patrol boats, and Rs4.377 billion to support initiatives in Gilgit-Baltistan.
The committee also endorsed operational activities for Engro Vopak Terminal and approved a revised framework with Cnergyico PK Limited for refinery upgrades. The significant financial commitments indicate a focus on enhancing security and infrastructure, which may impact overall regional stability and development.
