Ed. Züblin AG Completes Energy-Efficient Renovation of Z2 Office Building in Stuttgart
Ed. Züblin AG has completed an 18-month energy-efficient renovation of the Z2 office building in Stuttgart, creating approximately 450 workspaces. The project features upgraded infrastructure, including heat pumps and photovoltaic systems, and utilized 38 tonnes of Ultra Low Carbon aluminium, resulting in a 72% reduction in CO2 emissions. Supported by the German Sustainable Building Council, the renovation is set to receive the DGNB Platinum certificate, underscoring Züblin's commitment to climate neutrality.

The Z2 office building at Ed. Züblin AG's Stuttgart campus has undergone an 18-month energy-efficient renovation, creating approximately 450 workspaces. The renovation includes upgraded roof, façade, and underground car park, featuring heat pumps and photovoltaic systems.
The AWS 75.SI+ window system from Schüco was installed, ensuring high thermal insulation with an average Uw value of 0.85 W/m2K. A total of 38 tonnes of Ultra Low Carbon aluminium were used for the windows and façades, reducing CO2 emissions by around 72%.
Building-integrated photovoltaics were integrated into the spandrel cladding, and fire-resistant doors were installed for safety. The project is supported by the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) and is set to receive the DGNB Platinum certificate, furthering Züblin's commitment to climate neutrality.
