Edge Group Secures $380 Million Order for HT-750 Helicopters from UAE Armed Forces
Edge Group has received an order from the UAE armed forces for HT-750 optionally crewed helicopters valued at 1.4 billion dirhams ($380 million). This announcement occurred during the Unmanned Systems Exhibition (UMEX) in Abu Dhabi from January 20-22.
The HT-750, developed by Edge's affiliate Anavia, is designed as a heavy-lift uncrewed aircraft system capable of carrying up to 750 kg. Additionally, Edge's Anavia secured a $180 million order for the smaller HT-100 helicopter earlier in the week.
The number of aircraft in both orders remains undisclosed. Furthermore, the UAE military placed a $6 million order for the development of an uncrewed logistics gyrocopter. The contracts for the HT-100 and HT-750 reflect a significant commitment to advancing unmanned aerial systems within the UAE's defense landscape.
