Egypt and Cyprus Collaborate on Joint Natural Gas Projects
Egypt and Cyprus have initiated collaboration on joint natural gas projects, with a delegation from Egypt meeting Cypriot officials to discuss linking Cypriot gas fields to Egypt's energy infrastructure for re-export to Europe. This partnership aims to enhance Egypt's role as a regional energy hub and support Europe's energy diversification efforts, with both countries committing to ongoing technical coordination and regular progress meetings.

An Egyptian delegation met with officials from Cyprus's Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry in Nicosia to enhance cooperation on joint natural gas projects. Key figures included Mohamed El-Bagouri and Abeer El-Shorbiny from Egypt's Ministry of Petroleum.
Discussions centered on linking Cypriot gas fields to Egypt's energy infrastructure, enabling re-export to European markets. This initiative aims to bolster Egypt's status as a regional energy hub and support Europe's energy diversification efforts.
