Egypt Gas and Gharbia Governor Focus on Natural Gas Expansion
Egypt Gas and Gharbia Governor Alaa Abdel Maaty aim to expedite natural gas connections and infrastructure improvements. Siemens will enhance Egypt's power capacity by supplying natural gas power plants and wind farms, potentially impacting gas supply dynamics.

Eng. Mohamed Hassan Kandil of Egypt Gas met with Gharbia Governor Alaa Abdel Maaty to enhance natural gas infrastructure and expedite connections across the region. Their discussion emphasized improving coordination with local authorities to facilitate project implementation and minimize disruptions to public services.
Concurrently, Siemens will supply three natural gas-fired power plants and 12 wind farms, increasing Egypt's total power generation from 31 GW to 47.4 GW. This development could lead to a demand for 600 billion cubic feet of natural gas, raising concerns about resource allocation between power generation and other sectors.
