Egypt's RES Launches Drones and Smart Munitions at EIAS 2024
Robotics Engineering Systems (RES) introduced advanced drones and smart munitions during the Egypt International Airshow 2024, highlighting Egypt's progress in defense technology. The developments emphasize the country's commitment to enhancing its defense capabilities through local innovation.

At the Egypt International Airshow (EIAS 2024), Robotics Engineering Systems (RES) presented their domestically produced '6th of October' drone, a medium-altitude long-endurance UAV designed for various missions. The drone features a flight endurance of over 30 hours, operates at altitudes of up to 18,000 feet, and can reach speeds of 260 km/h.
It is equipped with 13 hardpoints for reconnaissance and can carry guided missiles and smart bombs. Additionally, RES introduced smart munitions, including glide bombs with a range of 50 km and long-range standoff munitions capable of reaching up to 80 km. The advancements underscore Egypt's focus on self-reliance in defense technologies, enhancing national security and strategic capabilities.
