Ehret Launches SolarSlide Solar-Powered Sliding Shutter for Residential Use
Ehret has introduced the SolarSlide, a solar-powered sliding shutter designed for residential buildings. Developed in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute, it generates electricity that can be used directly, stored, or fed into the grid. The shutters are customizable in various colors and made from durable materials. A UK rollout is anticipated later this year.

German manufacturer Ehret has launched SolarSlide, a solar-powered sliding shutter for residential buildings, designed in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems. The shutters are available in eight standard colors and custom shades, made with glass-glass modules that generate solar power without visible cell structures.
Electricity produced can be used directly, stored, or fed into the grid. SolarSlide integrates with on-site inverters and is suitable for new buildings with energy targets. The plug-in version, SolarSlide Pro, features an integrated micro inverter and can feed up to 600W directly into the grid. A UK launch is expected later this year.
