El Paso is set to begin construction on a $20 million Advanced Manufacturing District at the El Paso International Airport in May. The project, part of a 250-acre development, aims to create 17,000 jobs, including 4,000 engineering and technology positions and 13,000 high-skill technical jobs by 2030. The district will focus on aerospace and defense manufacturing and is supported by a $25 million federal grant.

El Paso will commence the construction of a $20 million Advanced Manufacturing District at El Paso International Airport in May. This initiative is part of a larger 250-acre development aimed at establishing the region as a hub for innovation and advanced manufacturing, specifically targeting aerospace and defense sectors.
Upon completion, the district is projected to generate 17,000 jobs, including 4,000 in engineering and technology and 13,000 in high-skill technical roles by 2030. The project also includes plans for two additional 100,000-square-foot buildings. Funding includes a $25 million federal grant received in 2023.
