Elbit Systems Secures $228M Contract for Iron Fist Systems on Bradley Vehicles
Elbit Systems has received a $228 million contract to supply Iron Fist Active Protection Systems for the U.S. Army's Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicle upgrade program, led by General Dynamics. The contract expands deliveries aimed at improving the survivability of armored vehicles against various threats.
Iron Fist provides 360-degree protection using sensors and countermeasures against missiles and projectiles, and has been selected after extensive testing. This contract builds on previous orders as the Army prioritizes upgrades to counter increasing threats from modern warfare. The Bradley program is among the first large-scale U.S. efforts to integrate active protection systems.
