Emir of Zuru Requests Additional Military Formations to Combat Banditry in Kebbi State
The Emir of Zuru, Alhaji Muhammad Sanusi Mika'ilu Sami Gomo III, has urged the establishment of additional military formations in Kebbi State to combat ongoing banditry, highlighting the need for modern military resources to enhance security and unlock the region's agricultural and mineral potential. During a meeting with Defence Minister General Christopher Musa, the Emir commended Governor Dr. Nasir Idris for his security efforts and sought continued federal support for his initiatives. The visit also aimed to garner support for the upcoming Uhola Annual International Cultural Festival in 2026, coinciding with the Emir's coronation.

The visit aimed to mobilize support for the Uhola Annual International Cultural Festival set for April-May 2026, coinciding with the Emir's coronation. The Emir was accompanied by notable dignitaries, including former Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Ishaya Bamaiyi and other officials.
