Engie has introduced Enermap, a free web platform for mapping renewable energy potential in France at municipal and regional levels. The platform aggregates nearly 25 public datasets, including data from Global Wind Atlas and Météo-France, to assess the development potential for solar, wind, hydroelectric, biogas, and battery storage projects.
Enermap also incorporates configurations for heating and cooling networks. This platform complements existing initiatives such as the portail cartographique des énergies renouvelables and tools from Cerema for energy efficiency assessments.
