EnPower, Inc. Invests in Advanced Battery Assembly Equipment to Boost US Manufacturing Capacity

DEFENSE

EnPower, Inc. has announced a significant investment in advanced battery cell assembly equipment at its Indianapolis, IN headquarters, targeting the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) and defense sectors. This investment will fund the installation of automated battery cell assembly lines, expected to be operational by Q2 2026, increasing the company's annual battery cell assembly capacity by 60MWh.

The initiative aims to strengthen the US battery supply chain, addressing the growing demand for domestically sourced lithium-ion batteries as the UAV market expands. EnPower's strategy includes a 100% non-FEOC battery material sourcing approach, enhancing supply chain resilience and supporting US energy independence. This investment aligns with the Indiana Initiative for Drone Dominance Task Force to bolster U.S. leadership in drone technology.
