The project will add over 1,200 megawatts to the grid and is expected to generate $2.8 billion in economic activity, creating 22 permanent and 225 construction jobs over an 18 to 36-month timeline. The Legend Powerstation will power the data center, benefiting over 190,000 homes while prioritizing local materials and experienced contractors.

An AI data center, a $1.3 billion project, is set to be built in Port Arthur, Texas, linked to a new Entergy power plant. The Public Utility Commission of Texas approved Entergy Texas to construct two natural gas plants, adding over 1,200 megawatts to the grid and generating $2.8 billion in economic activity.
The data center will require 42 acres, with a project duration of 18 to 36 months, creating 22 permanent and 225 construction jobs. The Legend Powerstation will support this development by powering more than 190,000 homes and investing $1.6 billion.
