Environmental Protest Voyage Against Gas Drilling Initiated from Emden
A three-day sailing protest against gas drilling in the Wadden Sea begins today, featuring climate activist Luisa Neubauer. This action highlights opposition to industrial activities affecting marine ecosystems and aims to raise awareness about environmental impacts.

Environmental activists and scientists have launched a three-day sailing protest from Emden against gas drilling in the Wadden Sea. The voyage includes visiting a seal bank and taking water samples near the One-Dyas gas drilling platform located in the German-Dutch border area near Borkum.
The group plans to observe porpoises in the Jadebusen and visit the LNG terminal in Wilhelmshaven. The protest will culminate with an action at the Mittelplate drilling platform in Brunsbüttel. This initiative underscores growing concerns over industrial exploitation of marine environments and could influence future regulatory discussions.
