EON Space Labs Develops Indigenous Imaging Payloads to Boost India's Space Sovereignty
EON Space Labs, a Hyderabad-based startup established in December 2022, is developing indigenous electro-optical and infrared imaging payloads to enhance India's space sovereignty. The company’s flagship product, MIRA, is intended for CubeSats and UAVs, and it has secured contracts with Kepler Aerospace and the Indian Navy, utilizing over 90% indigenous content in its offerings. After a failed launch of the MOI-1 CubeSat in partnership with TakeMe2Space, EON is now prioritizing the MOI-2 for future missions.

EON Space Labs, founded in December 2022 in Hyderabad, is developing electro-optical and infrared imaging payloads to reduce India's reliance on foreign technology. The startup's flagship product, MIRA, is designed for CubeSats and UAVs.
EON partnered with TakeMe2Space to create MOI-1, a 6U CubeSat, but its launch failed. The company aims to prioritize MOI-2 for future missions. EON raised $1.2 million in 2025 to scale its hardware across various platforms and has secured contracts with Kepler Aerospace and the Indian Navy for surveillance projects. The company currently utilizes over 90% indigenous content in its products.
