Estonia Lowers Investment Thresholds for Business Support
Estonia has reduced the minimum investment threshold for large-scale investment support from €100 million to €70 million, aiming to attract more investors. This adjustment includes lowering the requirements for specific sectors and job creation, enhancing the country's industrial competitiveness.

The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications has officially lowered the minimum investment threshold for large-scale investment support to €70 million. Additionally, the thresholds for priority development projects and defense industry projects have been reduced to €35 million and €20 million, respectively.
Notably, the food industry has been added to priority projects, emphasizing its significance for food security. The minimum job creation requirement will decrease from 30 to 20, yet the cost-effectiveness of the support measure is expected to remain stable.
Support rates will remain at up to 10% for Harju County and 15% for others, with a maximum grant of €20 million per project. This initiative is part of Estonia's economic growth strategy, aimed at enhancing industrial competitiveness and attracting significant investments.
