The Estonian Ministry of Justice asserts the importance of maintaining its 51% stake in media delivery company Levira, as its masts are crucial for ensuring that vital services and emergency alerts reach the population, especially when mobile networks fail. Tõnu Grünberg, deputy secretary general at the Ministry, highlighted that Levira plays a significant role in media transmission through the DVB-T platform. The project, currently in the testing phase, involves cooperation from multiple government agencies, including the Ministry of the Interior and the Defense Forces, to ensure effective communication during crises.
