Ethanol Producer Advocates for Lower E15 Pricing at Pumps
Ethanol producer Badger State Ethanol suggests that E15 fuel prices could decrease further, benefiting consumers. The company highlights the need for increased competition and infrastructure to support wider E15 adoption.

Badger State Ethanol claims that E15, currently priced at a thirty-five-cent discount to E10, could see further reductions at the pump. Erik Huschitt emphasizes that market dynamics, including wholesale costs and RIN credits, indicate E15 should be even cheaper.
He notes that only 11% of gasoline nationwide contains ethanol, and expanding retail infrastructure for higher blends is essential for competition. Regional pricing variations are influenced by the number of gasoline refiners and local corn market conditions. The rising costs of RIN credits and the growth of vegetable oil blending for renewable diesel also impact fuel pricing.
